Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karwasz Barabasz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Sanchaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karwasz Barabasz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karwasz Barabasz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raul Sanchaz!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barabasz was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanchaz.
Sanchaz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

It looks like Raul Sanchaz has been cut.
Sanchaz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barabasz.
Sloppy strikes from Barabasz. Those never looked like landing.
Sanchaz looks to throw the jab but Barabasz is out of range.

Barabasz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Barabasz throws a series of punches but Sanchaz avoids them all with ease.

and Barabasz counters with a straight right hand.

Sanchaz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Barabasz rather than just go for the knockout.

Barabasz throws out a loose jab but Sanchaz uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Barabasz counters with a left to the body.
Sanchaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barabasz finds it's way round the side to connect with Sanchaz's head.
Barabasz throws a nice looking combination but Sanchaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Barabasz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sanchaz.
Sanchaz throws an off balance right hand
enabling Barabasz to counter with a crisp jab.
Sanchaz takes a jab right on the kisser.
Barabasz misses with a looping right.
Barabasz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sanchaz takes a swing at Barabasz's ribcage but misses.

Sanchaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Barabasz on his heels. He'll look to pass Barabasz's guard now, I'm sure.
Barabasz is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Barabasz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchaz is aware though and is defending well.

Barabasz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sanchaz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sanchaz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sanchaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barabasz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Sanchaz works to advance to full mount. Barabasz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

BOOM! Sanchaz connects with a massive shot to the dome!


It looks like Karwasz Barabasz has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barabasz is bucking up trying to escape but Sanchaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Sanchaz lands a heavy elbow.


Karwasz Barabasz's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barabasz tries to reverse the position but Sanchaz maintains control.
Sanchaz controlling from the full mount.
Sanchaz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raul Sanchaz dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Karwasz Barabasz's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Sanchaz thows a huge punch but Barabasz dodges it nicely.
Sanchaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Barabasz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sanchaz pulls his head out easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanchaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barabasz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Raul Sanchaz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sanchaz is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Barabasz!
Sanchaz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Barabasz looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchaz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sanchaz lands a nice short elbow.

Sanchaz moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Barabasz.
Sanchaz cracks Barabasz with a big right hand but Barabasz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Sanchaz has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Barabasz walks into a jab.


Jeez, Karwasz Barabasz's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Karwasz Barabasz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Raul Sanchaz!
