Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shia Ledamian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jamal Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shia Ledamian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Jones!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ledamian throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ledamian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ledamian showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones is not content to let Ledamian control the position.
Ledamian takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

Shia Ledamian has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Jones gets the takedown into side control.
Ledamian regains half guard.
Ledamian wants to get back to his feet.
Ledamian is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ledamian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ledamian is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ledamian is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jones stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Ledamian throws up his legs and catches Jones in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Jones tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Ledamian! That came out of nowhere!
