Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Edison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Kateki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Edison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Victor Kateki! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kateki misses with a wild body shot. Edison shoots in for a takedown but Kateki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Edison. No joy for Kateki on that attempt. Edison shoots in for a takedown but Kateki shows good takedown defense. Kateki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Edison swivels and escapes. Kateki scores with a nice body kick.
Kateki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Edison on his heels. He'll look to pass Edison's guard now, I'm sure. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kateki engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kateki wants to control from the top but Edison keeps moving. Kateki content to stall in guard here. Kateki stands up and waves to Edison to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edison leaves Kateki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Peter Edison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Kateki. Edison clinches. Edison tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kateki just stands there and leans against the cage. Edison is looking to control Kateki's arms but Kateki gets an underhook and turns him. Now Edison has his back to the cage. Kateki gets underhooks to prevent Edison's takedown attempt.
Kateki gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Edison regains guard.
Kateki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kateki is controlling him. Kateki is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Victor Kateki was stalling too much, according to the referee. Edison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Edison keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kateki wants to clinch up but Edison keeps it at a distance. Kateki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kateki stands up out of the half guard. Kateki looks gassed! Nice takedown defense from Kateki. No joy for Edison on that attempt. Edison tries to clinch there but Kateki circles away.

Kateki is looking for a sweep. Edison is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kateki is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kateki is trying to stand.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Edison is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kateki moves into full guard.

Victor Kateki dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kateki shoots in and drives through. Edison sprawls well. Kateki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Edison napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kateki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kateki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Edison keeps working. Kateki is breathing heavily. Kateki decides to take the fight back to the feet. Kateki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Edison defends it nicely. Peter Edison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Edison shoots for a double leg takedown but Kateki sprawls well. He's pushed Edison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kateki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Edison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Edison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kateki dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Edison. That did some damage! Edison leaves Kateki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Peter Edison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Kateki. Edison swats away the attempt to clinch by Kateki.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edison will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kateki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Edison shoots for a takedown but Kateki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Edison leaves Kateki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kateki stuffs the takedown attempt from Edison. Edison gets slowly back to his feet. Kateki misses the shot to the body. Kateki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kateki lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kateki won't allow Edison to get back to his feet. Kateki's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kateki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A looping hook to the body misses from Kateki. Edison does a little dance to reset his feet. Kateki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Edison throws a head kick but Kateki moves out of range.
Edison shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Edison leaves Kateki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kateki closes the distance and clinches.

Kateki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Edison is working away from the top position though. Edison gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kateki shoots in and bounces Edison off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Edison has control of Kateki's left arm, preventing Kateki from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Kateki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kateki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Edison was covering up waiting for the punch and Kateki finishes the takedown easily into guard. Edison is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kateki looking to sit in guard and control but Edison gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kateki wants to control but Edison passes easily into half guard.

Victor Kateki has got the better of the ground game so far. Kateki tries to reverse the position but Edison maintains control.

Edison throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kateki because Edison loaded up on that one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edison swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kateki is now in Edison's guard. A big mistake from Edison there, giving up the dominant position! Kateki wants to control from the top but Edison keeps moving. Peter Edison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Victor Kateki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kateki is pushing down on Edison's leg trying to pass to half guard. Edison is fighting to maintain full guard but Kateki has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Victor Kateki. Well Kateki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
