The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain fails with the takedown
and Henerson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mountain's knee momentarily.
Henerson throws a combination. Mountain tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Rick Mountain has been cut.

Henerson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mountain looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Henerson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Henerson tries to free his leg and advance position but Mountain is retaining full guard.
Mountain pulls Henerson in close to prevent any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mountain looking for a sweep. Not yet Mountain, not yet.
Mountain wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mountain can do anything to dispel that myth.

Henerson stands and steps away. Mountain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Henerson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Henerson is trying to get an arm triangle but Mountain is defending well.
Henerson tries to advance to mount but can't.
Mountain is looking for a sweep.

Henerson decides to stand back up. Henerson steps back and let's Mountain get back to his feet.

Mountain gets a double leg takedown into Henerson's guard.
Mountain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mountain throws a sloppy strike and Henerson has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Mountain is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Henerson!
