The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dire tries to bum rush Leone with a series of wild strikes but Leone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dire tries to keep at a distance but Leone has taken the fight into the clinch.
Leone keeps control of Dire as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Leone softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Dire gets underhooks to prevent Leone's takedown attempt.
Dire wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Leone has him pressed against the cage.
Leone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Leone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dire tries to free his leg and advance position but Leone is retaining full guard.
Dire must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Leone has control of Dire's left arm, preventing Dire from doing any damage.
Dire would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Leone looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Leone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Leone is tightening it up a little... Dire has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dire reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dire taps out! nice BJJ there by Leone!
