Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane MacLain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLain has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Shane MacLain is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Koscheck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane MacLain! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacLain tries to clinch but fails miserably and Koscheck decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in MacLain's guard. Koscheck slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. MacLain is looking to regain half guard here but Koscheck keeps moving and retains side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Koscheck wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by MacLain, who protects the arm well. MacLain is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Koscheck asserts his dominance and retains side control. MacLain tries to improve position but can't. Koscheck looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Koscheck tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. MacLain is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Koscheck off and has taken his back!

MacLain tries to get the hooks in deep but Koscheck pushed the leg off. MacLain doesn't have the hooks in and Koscheck manages to turn into his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koscheck trying to control but MacLain is working from the bottom. MacLain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Josh Koscheck will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Koscheck jumps back into MacLain's guard. MacLain manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Koscheck manages to get himself to full guard.
MacLain stands up and waves to Koscheck to follow him. Koscheck has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from MacLain. MacLain thuds a left hand into Koscheck's body. Koscheck throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. MacLain was covering up waiting for the punch and Koscheck finishes the takedown easily into guard.
