Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martell Hennessey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hennessey comes into the arena with Oh My by: Roscoe Dash blaring out of the sound system. Reynolds has chosen Lights Out - Bobby Light as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martell Hennessey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds motions for Hennessey to come forward. Reynolds throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A big left from Hennessey misses. Reynolds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reynolds ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Reynolds scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Reynolds trying to control the position but Hennessey is working away. Reynolds tries to advance to mount but Hennessey denies him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds cracks Hennessey with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hennessey tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reynolds wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds tries to score with some ground and pound. Hennessey controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Reynolds wants to control but Hennessey is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reynolds advances to full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hennessey avoids a series of strikes thrown by Reynolds.
Hennessey tries to lock up and control but Reynolds gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Reynolds controlling his opponent. Reynolds is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hennessey can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Hennessey holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Reynolds tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Reynolds lands with some strikes. You get the feeling that Hennessey really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hennessey is squirming around, avoiding Reynolds's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reynolds looking to finish Hennessey with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hennessey! Reynolds tries to control but Hennessey wriggling away. Reynolds scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hennessey tries to hold on but Reynolds postures up. Reynolds looking to finish Hennessey with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hennessey! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niko Reynolds dominated that round. That's time! Hennessey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hennessey throws a leg kick but Reynolds moved away. Reynolds throws a solid leg kick but Hennessey takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Reynolds. Reynolds throws a series of strikes that have Hennessey backpedaling.
Hennessey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reynolds. Reynolds doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hennessey counters with a low kick, right behind Reynolds 's knee. Hennessey throws a right hand that Reynolds ducks under and follows up with a left that Reynolds also avoids with ease. Hennessey pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Reynolds swings for the body but Hennessey moves out of range.
Reynolds moves into the clinch successfully.
Reynolds trying to stall but Hennessey improves his position.
Reynolds lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Hennessey tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reynolds just stands there and leans against the cage. Reynolds landing knees to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! With the fighters up against the cage, Reynolds throws an elbow but misses. Reynolds breaks from the clinch.
Reynolds avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hennessey lands a head kick. Reynolds smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Hennessey misses with a series of wild punches.
Martell Hennessey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reynolds slips under a jab from Hennessey. Reynolds thuds his right hand into Hennessey's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Reynolds fails with the takedown. Reynolds digs a good hook to Hennessey's body.
Martell Hennessey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hennessey throws a leg kick that misses. Reynolds closes the distance and pushes Hennessey back into the cage. Reynolds manages to break the clinch.
Hennessey shoots in looking for a takedown but Reynolds manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hennessey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Reynolds clinches with his opponent.
Hennessey is trying to maintain a safe position but Reynolds gets an underhook and turns Hennessey into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hennessey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hennessey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Reynolds closes the distance and clinches. Reynolds cracks Hennessey with a nice body shot. Hennessey is trying to push Reynolds away but Reynolds has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A short right from Reynolds on the inside. Reynolds pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reynolds throws a combination. Hennessey tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hennessey is rocked! Reynolds walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hennessey drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Reynolds swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hennessey's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Niko Reynolds!
