Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber comes to the cage accompanied by California Love. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urijah Faber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cung Lee! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Faber avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and Faber counters with a takedown into side control. Faber is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lee's shoulder. That is not cool. Lee tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. A bit of a pause in the action here. Faber controlling the positon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee wants to get back to his feet. Lee is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Faber gets his way!
That's three minutes gone in the round. What can Lee do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Faber looking for the choke from the back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Faber controlling the position well here. Lee rolled but Faber kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee looks to land a combination but Faber avoids it well. Faber swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lee counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Faber holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Faber keeps him there for the moment. With the fighters up against the cage, Faber throws an elbow but misses. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Lee is looking to break free of the clinch but Faber has double underhooks. Lee is trying to maintain a safe position but Faber gets an underhook and turns Lee into the cage. Faber avoiding damage as Lee throws knees to the body.
Lee is working for takedown but Faber is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee wants to break the clinch but can't.
Faber throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Lee fails to pull guard.
Faber's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Lee is trying to drag Faber to the mat but Faber just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Urijah Faber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cung Lee. Faber lands a takedown into guard.
Faber is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Faber throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Urijah Faber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faber is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Urijah Faber wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Faber tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Faber has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee gets control of Faber's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lee can't keep his opponent in guard - Faber advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Faber throwing shots but Lee is blocking nicely. Faber escapes and gets back to his feet. Lee's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lee duly obliges. Faber clinches up against the cage. Faber using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lee has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lee wants to get back to his feet but Faber is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lee is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee being controlled here, momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Faber's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Faber as he jumps to the side. Lee works over Faber's head and body with a nice combination. Lee tries to clinch up and Faber counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Faber slows the pace down in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Urijah Faber just wasn't active enough. Faber scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Faber is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lee! Faber controlling from the full mount.

Faber is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lee can do to turn this around? Faber looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

And that's the end of the fight! Urijah Faber showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Faber, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
