Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rebel Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Players Ball by Outkast as his entrance music. Dave Black could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rebel Johnson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rebel Johnson! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Black swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Black drives through with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Black with a nice head shot there. Black wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Black throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nice combo by Black! Oh, that's hurt him - Johnson falls to the canvas and Black follows him into side control.
Johnson is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Black postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Black finish him? Black throwing strikes but Johnson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Black tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. Black is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it. Johnson trying to control the position but Black is working away. Johnson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Black rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnson's guard! Nice work there by Black! Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black throwing strikes but missing. Black is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. Johnson has his foot on Black's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Black works his way back into a safe position though. Black trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Black is breathing heavily. Black sitting in guard here, content to control. Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Black with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Black has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Black working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johnson is trying to control the position but Black postures up. Black throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Johnson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Johnson seems to have recovered his senses. Johnson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Black gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Johnson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Black turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Johnson off and cradles Black's limp body as Johnson celebrates with his corner.
