Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garz with a lazy takedown attempt
and Michaels counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Michaels.
Michaels must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Garz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Michaels is aware though and is defending well.
Garz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Michaels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Michaels trying to control the position from guard on top but Garz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Darien Michaels has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Garz misses with a takedown attempt
and Michaels counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Garz!
Michaels cracks Garz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Michaels is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Garz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Michaels postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Garz in real trouble here! The ref calls for Garz to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
