Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Goldsmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cragen comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Cragen. Goldsmith has chosen Dos Equis as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Goldsmith! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Cragen does no damage. Cragen shoots in for a takedown but Goldsmith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Goldsmith closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cragen quickly recovers to half guard. Goldsmith is looking for a kimura but Cragen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Goldsmith to get the leverage. Goldsmith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Goldsmith seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Goldsmith is working for a kimura but Cragen is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cragen is trying to stand back up but Goldsmith is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldsmith is looking to take a break and control but Cragen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jonathan Goldsmith has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cragen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Goldsmith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cragen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cragen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cragen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Goldsmith swivels and escapes. Goldsmith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cragen. Cragen is breathing heavily. A punch combination from Goldsmith misses. Goldsmith will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Cragen dives in and grabs Goldsmith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goldsmith pushes down on Cragen's head and hops out. Cragen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Goldsmith defends it nicely. Cragen tries to close the distance and clinch but Goldsmith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Goldsmith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cragen dives in and grabs Goldsmith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goldsmith pushes down on Cragen's head and hops out. Goldsmith misses with the combination.
Cragen scores a takedown into full mount! Goldsmith tries to hold on but Cragen pushes him away. Goldsmith is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cragen looking to ground and pound but Goldsmith is blocking nicely. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goldsmith is looking to improve his position but Cragen isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Goldsmith dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cragen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Goldsmith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cragen! Goldsmith trying to control but he's not successful this time. Goldsmith working Cragen over with strikes here. Goldsmith lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cragen is desperately trying to improve his position but Goldsmith has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goldsmith get's back to his feet. Cragen misses with a few strikes there.
Goldsmith throws a head kick that misses. Cragen throws a right and a left that both miss. Cragen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Goldsmith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cragen tries for a takedown but Goldsmith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cragen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cragen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Goldsmith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cragen is fending him off so far but Goldsmith persists. Nope, Cragen circles away and we're back to standing. Cragen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Goldsmith drops Cragen with a left right combo! Goldsmith follows him down to the ground into side control.
Cragen is rocked!
It looks like Don Cragen has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Goldsmith tries for a kimura but Cragen is defending well. Oh Cragen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Goldsmith taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldsmith looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Goldsmith stands up and beckons Cragen to his feet. Cragen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goldsmith tries to avoid it but Cragen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goldsmith to the ground. Goldsmith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Goldsmith lands with a right and another and another! Cragen is in big trouble! Goldsmith lands again and this time it's lights out for Cragen! A quality knockout there for Goldsmith.
