The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGuire rushes Faris and presses him up against the cage.
Faris tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Faris is trying to break free.
Faris fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Faris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McGuire walks away with a smile on his face. Faris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Toby McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhammad Faris.

McGuire moves into the clinch.
Faris is trying to break the clinch but McGuire is controlling him.

McGuire manages to pull guard.
McGuire has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

McGuire kicks Faris off and gets to his feet.

It looks like Muhammad Faris has been cut.
McGuire pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Faris tries to clinch but McGuire is having none of it.

Faris should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Faris shoots in looking for a takedown but McGuire manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Faris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Faris counters with a series of strikes. McGuire will be more careful next time no doubt.

Faris throws a right and a left that both miss.
McGuire lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faris circles away quickly and effectively.
McGuire throws a head kick that misses.
McGuire closes the distance and clinches up with Faris, looking for a takedown. McGuire pushes Faris against the cage but Faris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Faris with that takedown attempt.
McGuire stuffs the takedown attempt from Faris. Faris gets slowly back to his feet.
McGuire connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Faris closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGuire circles away.
McGuire misses with a series of wild punches.

Faris tries to clinch there but McGuire circles away.
McGuire stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McGuire wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
