Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jona Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Hayter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips leaves Hayter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hayter misses the shot to the body.
A jab from Phillips misses.
Hayter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phillips swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hayter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Phillips is fending him off so far but Hayter persists. Nope, Phillips circles away and we're back to standing.
Phillips thows a body shot but no joy.
The fighters circle momentarily. Phillips darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hayter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Phillips throws out a loose jab but Hayter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Phillips shoots in for a takedown but Hayter shows good takedown defense.

Jona Phillips has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Hayter.
Hayter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phillips swivels and escapes.
Phillips shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
