PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Boitsoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Ironman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boitsoff might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Domination. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Boitsoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Thor Ironman!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ironman rushes Boitsoff and presses him up against the cage.
Boitsoff takes a knee right on the jaw!
Boitsoff tries to pull guard but Ironman forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ironman crunches a lovely knee into Boitsoff's ribcage.
Ironman putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Boitsoff in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Ironman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ironman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ironman lands a jab-cross combination.


It looks like Dmitry Boitsoff has been cut.
Ironman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Boitsoff could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ironman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ironman wants it to stay on the feet.
Boitsoff shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ironman defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dmitry Boitsoff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Boitsoff misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ironman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boitsoff.
Boitsoff tries to close the distance and clinch but Ironman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ironman motions for Boitsoff to come forward. Ironman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Boitsoff on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Ironman moves into the clinch.
Boitsoff tries to pull guard but Ironman won't allow it.

Ironman manages to break the clinch.

Ironman clinches up with Boitsoff and pushes him back against the cage.
Ironman looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ironman decides to pull guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Boitsoff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boitsoff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ironman is keeping the position for now.

Boitsoff drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boitsoff jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Boitsoff drops back looking for a leg! Ironman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ironman manages to kick Boitsoff off! Boitsoff jumps back into Ironman's guard.

Boitsoff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boitsoff passes Ironman's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Ironman is defending against the submission attempts here by Boitsoff.

Boitsoff is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ironman defends it well.

Boitsoff is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ironman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boitsoff.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ironman tries to get to full guard but Boitsoff has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boitsoff is trying to control. Ironman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Thor Ironman will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dmitry Boitsoff's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Boitsoff tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ironman takes the fight into the clinch.
Ironman displaying some good clinch control by pressing Boitsoff up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ironman is struggling to control the position.
Boitsoff is trying to pull guard but Ironman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ironman is breathing heavily.

Boitsoff is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ironman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Boitsoff to the mat. Boitsoff regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Boitsoff pushes a forearm under Ironman's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ironman is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dmitry Boitsoff!
Dmitry Boitsoff decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
