Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Fight Music as his entrance music. Marcello Romero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcello Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Scott! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Scott darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Marcello Romero has been cut. Scott drops Romero with a left and a right! Oh, Romero is hurt - Scott dives into side control looking to finish!
Romero is rocked! Scott is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Romero will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Oh Romero is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Romero keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scott tries for a kimura but Romero is defending well. Romero seems to have got his legs back now. Scott cracks Romero with a big right hand but Romero just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This has been an exciting period of action! Scott thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Scott wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Romero, who protects the arm well. Scott trying to control the position but Romero is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Scott is looking to take a break and control but Romero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Romero is breathing heavily. Scott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Scott is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Romero is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Scott wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Romero, who protects the arm well. Romero can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Scott looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Scott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Scott has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Romero! Scott working for a submission but Romero is keeping him at bay. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away. Scott is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Romero is surviving well by controlling Scott's body position as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Romero's face.
Scott looking for a guillotine from mount but Romero is having none of it. Romero is desperately trying to improve his position but Scott has a good base and remains in mount. Scott lands with some strikes. The referee warns Romero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Romero wants to hold on but Scott pushes him away. Scott unloading with bombs! Romero has given up his back. Will we see Scott going for some submissions?
Romero defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Scott's arms. Scott scores with punches to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Romero covering up well under a series of strikes from Scott. Scott misses with an elbow to the head. Romero is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scott biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scott is landing with strikes from the back. Scott missing with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Scott dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marcello Romero's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Scott dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Scott throws a shot to the body.
Scott stalks Romero and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Romero's face. Romero staggers backwards, shaken.
Marcello Romero's cut is getting worse. Romero swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Scott counters with a right hand to the body. Scott swinging wilding here.
Romero misses with a takedown and Scott counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Scott looks to throw the jab but Romero is out of range. Scott scores with a jab. Romero acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scott circles away from the clinch attempt and Scott counters with a left and a right that stings Romero.
Marcello Romero's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Romero with a lazy takedown attempt and Romero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Scott swinging wilding here.
Scott lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Scott displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Marcello Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott cracks Romero with a good jab.
Jeez, Marcello Romero's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Scott with a body punch. A glancing blow. A punch combination from Romero misses. Scott lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Romero dodges the punch combination from Scott.
Scott lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Scott.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcello Romero's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
