The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie closes the distance looking to clinch
and Spliff counters with a nice body shot.
Gracie closes the distance and pushes Spliff back into the cage.
Spliff tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow.
Spliff successfully pulls guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Spliff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
Spliff looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Spliff keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
Gracie looking to pass the guard.
Spliff is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gracie has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Spliff is proving hard to escape from.

Spliff looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Spliff is retaining full guard.
Gracie trying to control but Spliff is working from the bottom.
Gracie drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gracie as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Spliff screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gracie! Nice submission victory there!
