Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eljas Aalto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Homie Stockton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eljas Aalto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Homie Stockton!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aalto throws a right and a left that Stockton avoids nicely.
Stockton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That kick from Stockton tenderised Aalto's leg. Aalto is trying to keep his angry face on.
A combination from Aalto does no damage.
Aalto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stockton as he avoids it easily.
Aalto fails with a takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stockton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stockton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Homie Stockton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Aalto ducks under a wild hook from Stockton.
Aalto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stockton tries to clinch there but Aalto circles away.
Aalto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stockton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Aalto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eljas Aalto. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aalto gets a double leg takedown into Stockton's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stockton can do anything to dispel that myth.
Stockton keeping moving, preventing Aalto from controlling successfully.

Aalto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stockton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aalto is one step ahead there.
Aalto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stockton's guard.

Aalto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stockton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aalto.
Stockton is refusing to be controlled, as Aalto sits in half guard.
Stockton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aalto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aalto is looking for a kimura here.
Stockton wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aalto is keen to just control but Stockton is a slippery customer.
Stockton wants to control but Aalto is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Stockton trying to get back to full guard but Aalto takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Aalto is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stockton is surviving well by controlling Aalto's body position as best he can.

Aalto is working for a guillotine from mount but Stockton frees his head quite easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stockton is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Aalto locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Stockton is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Eljas Aalto!
