The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray tries to clinch but Pleasures is having none of it.
Ray closes the distance and clinches up with Pleasures, looking for a takedown. Ray pushes Pleasures against the cage but Pleasures circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pleasures throws a jab but it's blocked by Ray.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elmer Ray has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ray misses with a takedown attempt - Pleasures sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ray fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pleasures avoids it really well and circles away.

Ray gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ray shoots in and bounces Pleasures off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
