Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Bartleby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Bartleby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johny Bravo !
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartleby stuffs the takedown attempt from Bravo . Bravo gets slowly back to his feet.
Bravo lands a nice looking body shot.
Bravo throws a sloppy head kick and Bartleby moves out of range easily.

Bravo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bartleby is trying to defend but Bravo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bravo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bartleby!
Bartleby tries to lock up and control but Bravo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bravo wants to take Bartleby's back here but Bartleby is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bravo wants to control the pace but Bartleby is squirming around nicely.
Bartleby holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bravo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Bartleby tries to hold on but Bravo pushes him away.
Bartleby is trying to reverse the position but instead Bravo has taken his back - oops!
Will Bravo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bartleby is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Bravo 's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Bravo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bartleby defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Bartleby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bartleby is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johny Bravo dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A head kick misses from Bravo .

Bartleby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bartleby lands in his opponent's guard.

Bravo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bravo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bartleby defends well.
Bravo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bartleby!

Bartleby sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

and Bartleby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bravo won't be happy with that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bravo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bravo on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Bravo prevents Bartleby from moving into mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Bravo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bartleby to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bartleby has Bravo pulled in close to control his posture.

Bartleby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Bartleby is working an open guard so Bravo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch but Bartleby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bravo fails to land the takedown.
Bravo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bartleby tries for a takedown but Bravo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bartleby shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bravo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bartleby is working Bravo over with some ground and pound from side control.
Bravo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bartleby's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bartleby takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Marcus Bartleby showed his dominance in that final round.
