Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Ganso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauro Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ganso comes into the arena with Dont stop Believing blaring out of the sound system. Guerra is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Reise, Reise. Mauro Guerra looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ganso shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Guerra manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Guerra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Ganso tries to free his leg and advance position but Guerra is retaining full guard.
Ganso has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ganso drops back looking for a leg! Guerra is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Guerra manages to kick Ganso off! Ganso jumps back into Guerra's guard.
Guerra is looking to sweep but instead, Ganso has passed into half guard.
Ganso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guerra on the ground.

Ganso is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Guerra has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ganso trying to control the action but Guerra is working from the bottom.

Ganso is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Ganso wants to work for an arm triangle but Guerra is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ganso stops Guerra from getting back to his feet.
Ganso wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guerra keeps working.
Ganso is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Guerra is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ganso seems to be working for a kimura but Guerra defends the submission attempt.
Guerra tries to roll over but Ganso keeps him under control.

Ganso is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guerra defends it well.
Guerra wants to control but Ganso is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ganso shoots for a double leg takedown but Guerra sprawls well. He's pushed Ganso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ganso tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Guerra swivels and escapes.
Ganso fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Guerra fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ganso to the ground. Guerra is now in Ganso's guard.
Ganso seems keen to control Guerra's posture.
Ganso's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Guerra is breathing heavily.

Ganso is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Guerra is aware though and is defending well.
Ganso wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Guerra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ganso was well out of range. Poor timing from Guerra.
Mauro Guerra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Guerra trying to control but Ganso is working from the bottom.

Ganso pulls Guerra in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mauro Guerra.

Ganso shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guerra napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Ganso is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Guerra looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ganso gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Guerra is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ganso lets go of the hold and Guerra can pop his arm back in it's socket.
