Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenji Rodriguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason King!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez moves to clinch but King breaks away

and King counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rodriguez!
King tries to control but Rodriguez wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriguez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King content just to control the position here.
Rodriguez is bucking up trying to escape but King cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodriguez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

King is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rodriguez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rodriguez!
King is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rodriguez is controlling him.
King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

King looking for a guillotine here but Rodriguez defends easily.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodriguez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King keeping full guard, as Rodriguez tries to pass.

King throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rodriguez pushing down on King's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Rodriguez is breathing heavily.

Rodriguez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! King is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
