Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Dawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawkins has chosen Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Scott Summers!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Dawkins!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Dawkins landing some decent shots from guard.
Dawkins's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dawkins's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Summers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dawkins sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Summers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dawkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dawkins is in close to Summers's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Summers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dawkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dawkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dawkins wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dawkins connects with a nice short shot to Summers's temple.

Dawkins trying to control the action but Summers is working from the bottom.
Summers tries to roll over but Dawkins keeps him under control.

Summers is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dawkins pulls his head out easily.

Dawkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Summers defends it well.

Jack Dawkins really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that RMC - Rio Mma Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
