Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerry Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pettis shoots in but Cox avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pettis looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jerry Cox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cox throws a looping overhand right but Pettis ducks down to avoid it.
Pettis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cox.
Cox looks to score with a jab to the body but Pettis is just out of range.

Cox gets caught napping as Pettis dives in and scores a takedown. Cox manages to retain guard.

Cox is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pettis is aware though and is defending well.
Cox keeping moving, preventing Pettis from controlling successfully.
Pettis stands and throws Cox's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Pettis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pettis trying to control the action but Cox is working from the bottom.
Cox can't do much from the bottom here.

Pettis has hold of Cox's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cox seems comfortable defending it but Pettis has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cox is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cox is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pettis couldn't care less - he's delighted!
