The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rawn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Seidel shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Seidel showed some decent athleticism there. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Seidel trying to control the action but Rawn is working from the bottom. Seidel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rawn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rawn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Seidel pulls his head out easily.
Seidel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rawn defend it? Seidel steps over the head and cranks it - Rawn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Seidel!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marco Seidel!
