Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Diebler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Diebler! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Jones! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diebler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Diebler showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones is looking to stand up but Diebler isn't so interested in that idea. Diebler is stalling in the full guard. Diebler forces his way into half guard. Diebler looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diebler connects with a nice short shot to Jones's temple. Jones is looking for a sweep. Diebler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Diebler controlling the pace. Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diebler's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diebler's back! Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Diebler manages to turn into his guard.
Diebler postures up.
Diebler chips away with some ground and pound. Jones controls Diebler momentarily but Diebler frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diebler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Diebler chips away with some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Diebler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Diebler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diebler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Diebler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones is looking to clinch but Diebler is avoiding it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diebler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Diebler shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diebler showed some decent athleticism there. Diebler sitting and controlling from the half guard. Diebler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diebler is trying for a kimura here. Jones looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Diebler wins by kimura!
