Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angola Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saukko's entrance music is Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan . A fine choice. Bob has chosen Im Too Sexy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Per Saukko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko lands with a kick to the ribs.
Saukko tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Saukko misses with a few strikes there.
Saukko wants to land a leg kick but Bob is out of range.
Saukko throws a sloppy head kick and Bob moves out of range easily.
Saukko misses with a low kick.
Saukko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saukko gets the takedown into side control.
Saukko tries to move to mount but Bob blocks the move with his legs.
An elbow from Saukko crashes against the mat.
Bob is looking for a sweep.

Saukko tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob prevents Saukko from moving into mount.
Bob is not content to let Saukko control the position.

Saukko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.

Saukko misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Saukko throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Saukko prevents Bob from getting the reversal.
Saukko lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Saukko lands a big shot there that rocks Bob but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Saukko wants to control the pace but Bob is squirming around nicely.

Saukko goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bob turns into him and now he's in Saukko's guard.
Bob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Saukko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bob lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bob checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Saukko, as that shot connected.
Saukko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bob sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saukko somewhat.
Bob works the jab nicely.
Bob connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Saukko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bob defending well as Saukko loads up on a big left hand.
Saukko moves out of range of the leg kick from Bob.
Saukko throws out a leg kick but Bob moves out of range and Saukko only half commits.
Bob sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Angola Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Saukko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bob has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Saukko looks for the body kick but Bob saw that one coming.

Saukko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Saukko fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bob.

Saukko throws a front kick aimed at Bob's knee but Bob avoids it well.

Bob misses with a hook. Saukko ducked under it nicely.

and Saukko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Some bone on bone action there as Bob checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bob has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bob punishes Saukko's body with a nice straight punch.
Saukko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bob lands a jab to Saukko's midsection.

Saukko lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Horrible takedown by Saukko or perhaps it was just good defense by Bob which made him look bad.
Saukko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Per Saukko will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Saukko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bob's waist but Bob gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Saukko off to one side.

Saukko throws a sloppy head kick and Bob moves out of range easily.
Bob motions for Saukko to come forward. Bob throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Saukko wants to slow Bob down by chopping away at his legs.
Saukko tries to land a front kick but Bob steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bob misses with a looping left.
Saukko tries a low kick but Bob avoids it.
Saukko shoots in looking for a takedown. Bob tries to sprawl out of it but Saukko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bob manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Angola Bob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Saukko throws a leg kick that misses.
Bob bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Saukko's head.
Saukko looks to land a combination but Bob avoids it well.
Saukko tries to score with a low kick but Bob moves his leg out of the way.
Saukko throws a leg kick but Bob moved away.
Bob does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bob is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saukko.
Saukko moves forwards but Bob connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Saukko sizes up Bob with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Bob throws a body punch but Saukko moves out of range.
Bob takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bob throws a leg kick but Saukko sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Saukko takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Saukko.
Bob wants to land a leg kick but Saukko is out of range.

Saukko is pressing down on Bob's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bob is holding on for now.
Saukko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saukko working over Bob with some ground and pound. Bob looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Saukko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Saukko wants to take a breather but Bob is having none of it.

Well Saukko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
