12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Raiser! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Knox misses. Knox throws an off balance right hand
and Raiser counters with a takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Knox gets back to half guard. Raiser wants to work for an arm triangle but Knox is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Knox makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Knox. Raiser postures up in Knox's guard and throws a big left but Knox blocks it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Raiser tries to free his leg and advance position but Knox is retaining full guard. Knox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Knox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raiser manages to get himself to full guard.

Let's see if Raiser can do anything to dispel that myth. Knox gets to his feet. Raiser looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Raiser manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knox on his heels. He'll look to pass Knox's guard now, I'm sure. Raiser stands up from guard. Let's bang! Raiser shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Knox manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Knox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raiser manages to get himself to full guard.
Knox postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knox distracts Raiser with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Raiser wants to stand and escape but Knox is having none of it. Raiser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Knox with a flurry of punches that miss. Knox throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raiser works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Knox in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Raiser is looking to stand up but Knox isn't so interested in that idea. Raiser working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Knox. Knox gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knox scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Raiser doesn't seem bothered though. Knox rushes Raiser and presses him up against the cage. Knox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Knox rushes Raiser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Knox landing knees to the head.
It looks like Tony Raiser has been cut. Raiser looks gassed! Raiser takes a knee to the side of the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knox misses with a knee strike.

Knox pulls guard. Raiser landing with the ground and pound. Knox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Knox manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Raiser manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Knox trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Knox throwing strikes but missing. Knox prevents Raiser from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raiser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knox sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Raiser somewhat. Knox throws a series of punches but Raiser avoids them all with ease. Knox moves into the clinch. Knox wants to take the fight to the mat but Raiser manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Knox connects with a nasty looking knee right to Raiser's face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knox has Raiser pressed against the cage, preventing Raiser from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Raiser has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Knox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Raiser keeps the fight on the outside. Raiser shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Knox as he avoids it easily. Johnny Knox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Raiser. Raiser finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Raiser looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Raiser wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Knox has him pressed against the cage. Raiser tries to break free but Knox pushes him back against the cage. Knox breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That kick from Knox tenderised Raiser's leg. Raiser is trying to keep his angry face on. Raiser is breathing heavily. Knox misses with an uppercut
and Raiser counters with a one-two to the body. Knox scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knox fails to land with a series of punches.

Raiser throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knox's waist but Knox gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raiser off to one side. Knox's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Knox duly obliges.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knox gets in close and instigates a clinch. Raiser is trying to force a seperation but Knox has the dominant position. Knox scores a nice knee to the body.

That has opened up Tony Raiser's cut even more. Knox throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Raiser blocks it with crossed arms. Knox tries to land a knee to the head but Raiser blocks with his arms.

Knox keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Raiser's efforts to push away. Knox using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Raiser has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Knox takes the fight into the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Raiser works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Knox defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Raiser. Raiser shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knox napping and manages to drive through into side control! Raiser wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Knox, who protects the arm well. Knox regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's going to sap some energy. Knox throws a head kick that misses. Raiser looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Knox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Raiser is controlling him. Raiser stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knox swivels though and keeps the full guard. Knox is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Knox kicks Raiser off and gets to his feet. Raiser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Knox leaves Raiser with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Knox looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knox is looking to clinch. Raiser jabs at Knox's body. Raiser shoots in but Knox avoids the takedown attempt easily. Knox jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Raiser walks away with a smile on his face. Knox gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Raiser shoots in for a takedown but Knox shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Raiser dives in and scores a takedown into Knox's guard. Raiser trying to stand up but can't free himself from Knox's guard. Raiser connects with a couple of short punches. Knox lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Raiser! Knox sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Johnny Knox is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Raiser holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Knox tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Knox lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Raiser avoids a series of strikes thrown by Knox.

Tony Raiser's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
