Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bob Enweave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Pemberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Enweave! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Micheal Pemberton! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pemberton has a takedown stuffed. Enweave scores a takedown into full mount! Enweave moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pemberton has worked his arm free - good work by Pemberton!
Enweave fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pemberton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Enweave off and has taken his back! Pemberton doesn't have the hooks in and Enweave manages to turn into his guard.

Pemberton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Enweave is looking to work some ground and pound but Pemberton has wrist control. Enweave tries to free his leg and advance position but Pemberton is retaining full guard. Pemberton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Enweave doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Enweave manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pemberton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pemberton has his foot on Enweave's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Enweave works his way back into a safe position though. Pemberton looks gassed! Enweave stands up from Pemberton's guard - Enweave perhaps looking for a knockout. Pemberton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pemberton tries for a takedown but Enweave circles away easily and Enweave decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pemberton's guard. Enweave trying to control the position from guard on top but Pemberton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Enweave controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Enweave trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Enweave has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Enweave might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Enweave is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pemberton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Enweave can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pemberton working for a triangle but Enweave defends it easily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pemberton misses with a takedown attempt and Enweave counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bob Enweave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Pemberton. Pemberton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Enweave trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pemberton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Enweave doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pemberton is tightening it up a little... Enweave has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Enweave reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Enweave taps out! nice BJJ there by Pemberton!
