Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Ettish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Headden! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Headden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ettish avoids it really well and circles away. Ettish connects with a body shot that sends Headden's belly button to the back. Ettish tries to bum rush Headden with a series of wild strikes but Headden uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Headden rushes Ettish and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Headden lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Headden blocks a body shot from Ettish. Ettish prevents a body shot from Headden. Ettish blocks an uppercut.
Headden misses with the head strike.
Ettish lands a nice knee to the body. Headden works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ettish wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Headden lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ettish backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ettish putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Headden in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ettish just misses with a elbow thrown towards Headden's brow. Ettish stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Headden throws a punch but it's blocked by Ettish. Ettish tries a knee to the head but Headden blocks it.

Ettish digs a right hand underneath Headden's ribcage. Headden let out a lung full of air as it connected. Ettish trying to stall but Headden improves his position.

Headden is trying to drag Ettish to the mat but Ettish just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Headden swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Ettish presses Headden against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Headden looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ettish has Headden pushed against the cage. Ettish pushes Headden back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Ettish prevents a body shot from Headden.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of stalling here from Ettish.

Headden is rocked! Ettish gets through Headden's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Headden is still on wobbly legs! Can Ettish finish him? Ettish dips a shoulder and cracks Headden with a mighty uppercut! Headden falls back against the cage and Ettish unloads with a barrage of strikes! Headden is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ettish screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fred Ettish! Fred Ettish seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
