Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clubber West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir IV! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clubber West! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for West.
Mir IV shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in West's guard. West looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mir IV is one step ahead there. West is looking for a triangle but Mir IV pushes his legs off easily.
Mir IV pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. West is keeping the position for now. Mir IV is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. West doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
West is trying to control the position but Mir IV postures up. Mir IV passes West's left leg - he's now in half guard. West is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. West manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Mir IV slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir IV passes easily into side control. Nice work. West tries to buck Mir IV off but Mir IV is having none of it. Mir IV controlling the position. West gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mir IV with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Mir IV is breathing heavily. West looking for submissions off his back. Mir IV not doing much here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mir IV has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Frank Mir IV just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. West swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mir IV shoots in but no luck this time. West tries to clinch but Mir IV moves out of range. Mir IV closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming West to the mat! West manages to get full guard. West looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Mir IV content to control rather than advance. Mir IV wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. West tries to buck Mir IV off but Mir IV is having none of it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mir IV in particular looking to stall. West is looking to control Mir IV's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can West avoid being mounted? West is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mir IV clinches up with West and pushes him back against the cage. West prevents Mir IV from breaking the clinch. West is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mir IV pulls him back up using the underhooks. West is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mir IV jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mir IV holds on and takes a little breather. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mir IV is on top in guard.

West is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mir IV manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. West sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mir IV's guard. West is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

West working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mir IV trying to hold on to West's head to control him but West postures up.

West jumps guard and drags Mir IV to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Mir IV controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. West wants to stand and escape but Mir IV is having none of it. West looking for a sweep. Not yet West, not yet. West keeping full guard, as Mir IV tries to pass. Mir IV forces his way into half guard. West trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Mir IV manages to pass to mount!

And that's the end of the fight! Frank Mir IV showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mir IV, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
