PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kyle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to UFC - Face the Pain . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Kyle ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Coach! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyle tries to clinch up. Coach misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kyle .
Kyle wants to clinch up but Coach keeps it at a distance. Kyle darts in and clinches Coach up against the ropes. Kyle tries a knee to the head but Coach blocks it.
Coach pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kyle moves in looking to clinch but Coach pushes him off. Coach scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kyle doesn't seem bothered though. Coach lands with an overhand left. Coach cracks Kyle with a right hand to the side of the head. Nice body punch from Coach. Coach throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kyle was covering up waiting for the punch and Coach finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coach with a nice head shot there. Coach stands up over Kyle , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Coach in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Coach won't allow Kyle to sweep him here. Coach makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kyle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coach on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coach won't allow Kyle to get back to his feet. Coach thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kyle wants to sweep here but Coach controlling him for the moment. Kyle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kyle tries to get out of the position. Coach drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Coach as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kyle screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Coach! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). James Coach! James Coach retains his light heavyweight title!
