The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
House looks for a takedown but Sandifer sprawls well.
House gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sandifer struggling a bit here.
House scores with a couple of short elbows.
House is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sandifer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
House tries to advance to mount but Sandifer denies him.

Sandifer pushes House away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, House gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
House works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
House is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sandifer looks calm but he's in trouble here. House gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sandifer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! House lets go of the hold and Sandifer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Max House!
