The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thurgood dives in and grabs Edgar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Edgar pushes down on Thurgood's head and hops out.
Thurgood throws a big shot that misses.
Edgar scores with a kick to the midsection.
Thurgood misses the jab.
Thurgood takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Gabe Thurgood has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Edgar. Thurgood does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thurgood throws a head kick but Edgar moves out of range.
Edgar digs a good hook to Thurgood's body.
Good standup being displayed there by Edgar as he connects with a hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Edgar connects with a looping right hand.

Thurgood is breathing heavily.
Thurgood looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Edgar is pawing at Thurgood, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Thurgood's nose. Thurgood is badly hurt! Edgar pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Thurgood tries desperately to hold on but Edgar is relentless in his assault! As Thurgood receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Edgar away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans Edgar!
Hans Edgar looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Wow man, what a day! I flew to the wrong location and had to fly in here to Montreal just hours before the fight. Luckily I made it! Hopefully next time I get here in time! Thank you all!'.
