Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rucon wants to land a leg kick but Gauthier is out of range.
Rucon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gauthier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rucon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rucon tries to clinch there but Gauthier circles away.
Rucon tries to clinch up but Gauthier circles away and keeps his distance.
Rucon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hao Rucon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rucon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gauthier connects with a nice looking jab.
Rucon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gauthier's waist but Gauthier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rucon off to one side.
Rucon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gauthier shoots in and bounces Rucon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rucon looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Rucon controls Gauthier momentarily but Gauthier frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gauthier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gauthier lands a nice looking body kick.
Rucon misses with a takedown attempt
and Gauthier counters with a series of strikes. Rucon will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rucon is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hao Rucon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rucon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gauthier counters with a big left hand that crumples Rucon! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
