Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Vatali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carwin has chosen Tool - Vicarious as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin cracks Vatali with an open hand slap.

It looks like Joe Vatali has been cut.
Vatali throws a jab when Carwin was well out of range.
Carwin swinging wildly here.
Vatali uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carwin.
Carwin lands a jab-cross combination.
Carwin throws an overhand right that lands on Vatali's shoulder, as Vatali tries to avoid the shot.

Carwin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

enabling Carwin to counter with a crisp jab.
Vatali tries to bum rush Carwin with a series of wild strikes but Carwin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carwin throws a shot from downtown. Vatali moves away and avoids it.
Carwin cracks Vatali with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Carwin moves in looking to clinch but Vatali pushes him off.
Vatali swings for the body but Carwin moves out of range.

and Carwin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vatali fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carwin manages to avoid it.
Carwin shoots for a takedown but Vatali saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vatali is looking to clinch but Carwin is avoiding it.
Carwin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vatali moves away.
Nice defenses there by Carwin.
Carwin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Vatali throws a leg kick which misses Carwin's front leg but catches the back leg as Carwin tries to avoid it.
Vatali with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carwin to score with a decent uppercut.

Vatali drives through and clinches with Carwin against the cage.

Vatali shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carwin is trying to defend but Vatali finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Carwin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Vatali blocks it with crossed arms.

Carwin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vatali but Vatali pushes him off and we're back to square one.
