The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadafi throws a low kick, looking for McKnight's leg but McKnight calmly moves out of range.

Gadafi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McKnight is out of range.
McKnight throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gadafi's waist but Gadafi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McKnight off to one side.

McKnight is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gadafi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gadafi shrugs it off.

McKnight seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gadafi for as long as he can get away with.

Gadafi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McKnight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McKnight has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
