Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lyle Chipperson!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chipperson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Chipperson eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Chipperson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith closes the distance and pushes Chipperson back into the cage.
Smith turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Smith has hold of Chipperson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Chipperson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smith cranks the arm and Chipperson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Chipperson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
