Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Inge Koll!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koll misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there.
Koll is looking to improve his position.

Johnson stands up and beckons Koll to join him on the feet.
Koll has his takedown stuffed
and Johnson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Koll's knee momentarily.

Koll not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Koll is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Johnson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Johnson passes Koll's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson wants to stand up but Koll has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Johnson is taking a breather. Koll says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Koll wants to improve his position but Johnson is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koll might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Johnson decides to return to a standing position.

Johnson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Johnson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnson takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Johnson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Koll to the mat! Koll manages to get full guard.

Koll looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Johnson wants to stand but Koll has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Koll controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeremy Johnson will probably get the nod.

Koll is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Johnson is staying active.

Johnson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Koll loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Koll manages to avoid it.

Koll shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Johnson feints a jab promting Koll to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Koll slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Johnson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Koll has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.

Koll looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Koll flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Koll is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Johnson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Koll!

Koll is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Koll is breathing heavily.
Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Johnson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Koll shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson counters with a straight right hand.
Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Koll. Koll gets slowly back to his feet.

Johnson prevents Koll from improving his position.
Koll slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Koll looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.

Koll working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Koll takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koll has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Koll's legs - danger averted.

Koll has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.
