Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kesuke Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nad Rodhrehson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodhrehson looks to land a right hand but Miyagi moved out of range.
Miyagi tries to clinch up.
Miyagi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodhrehson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rodhrehson throws a jab when Miyagi was well out of range.
Rodhrehson lands a head shot.
Rodhrehson shoots in but no luck this time.
Rodhrehson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Miyagi forces Rodhrehson back against the cage and clinches.
Rodhrehson working aggressively here.
Miyagi content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rodhrehson trying to stall but Miyagi improves his position.

Miyagi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rodhrehson up against the cage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Miyagi for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Rodhrehson is trying to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rodhrehson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Miyagi obliges.
Rodhrehson tries to break the clinch but Miyagi is controlling the position.
Miyagi is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rodhrehson is trying to drag Miyagi to the mat but Miyagi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kesuke Miyagi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nad Rodhrehson.
Rodhrehson wants to get back to striking at distance but Miyagi won't allow it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Miyagi as Rodhrehson tries to tie him up.

That was a close round but I would say that Kesuke Miyagi will probably get the nod.

Miyagi is looking to clinch but Rodhrehson is avoiding it.

Rodhrehson jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Miyagi darts in and clinches Rodhrehson up against the cage.
Miyagi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A bit of stalling here from Miyagi.
Miyagi seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kesuke Miyagi.
Miyagi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rodhrehson.
Rodhrehson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Miyagi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rodhrehson throws a looping overhand right but Miyagi ducks down to avoid it.
Rodhrehson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodhrehson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kesuke Miyagi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Miyagi tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodhrehson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Miyagi fails with an attempt to clinch.

Miyagi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Miyagi tries to land knees in the clinch but Rodhrehson avoids the damage to the body.
With the fighters up against the cage, Rodhrehson throws an elbow but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kesuke Miyagi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Rodhrehson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miyagi circles away quickly and effectively.
Rodhrehson tries to land a front kick but Miyagi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rodhrehson swats away the attempt to clinch by Miyagi.
Rodhrehson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Miyagi.

Miyagi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rodhrehson.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Miyagi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rodhrehson is defending well for now.

Miyagi putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rodhrehson in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Rodhrehson is working for takedown but Miyagi is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rodhrehson tries to break free but Miyagi pushes him back against the cage.

Rodhrehson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Miyagi displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rodhrehson up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kesuke Miyagi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miyagi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
