Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamara Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Tamara Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Staph Aureus's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Staph Aureus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tamara Silva! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva swings for the body but Aureus moves out of range.
Aureus is breathing heavily. Aureus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Aureus throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva wants to get back to his feet. Aureus tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well. Aureus in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Aureus has knee on belly and moves into mount. Aureus throwing strikes here but Silva is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aureus postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
Aureus throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Aureus lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Poor strikes thrown by Aureus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Silva is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aureus throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Aureus lands with some strikes. Aureus throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Silva because Aureus loaded up on that one. Aureus scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Silva?
Aureus working away from the top, dropping strikes. Silva really wants to buck Aureus off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aureus lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Aureus misses with a head shot. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aureus sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Aureus misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Staph Aureus dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Aureus manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silva on his heels. He'll look to pass Silva's guard now, I'm sure. Silva wants to stand but Aureus is controlling the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Aureus pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aureus moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that! Aureus swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Aureus's guard. A big mistake from Aureus there, giving up the dominant position! Aureus is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aureus looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Aureus working for submissions but it's allowed Silva to get to half guard.
Aureus with the active half guard here but Silva passes nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aureus gets back to half guard. Aureus is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Aureus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily. Aureus works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aureus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Aureus looking for a triangle here. Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Aureus pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
