Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max McRiot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRiot is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: None. On his way into the ring it seems that Carlos Peterson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Carlos Peterson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Max McRiot! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Peterson. Peterson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Peterson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McRiot.
Peterson moves into the clinch. McRiot pulls guard successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Peterson got a little sloppy there for a moment and McRiot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peterson has managed to get both his arms back between McRiot's legs - danger averted. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. This has been an exciting period of action! Peterson wants to control from the top but McRiot keeps moving. McRiot is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Peterson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McRiot manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Peterson has McRiot in his guard. McRiot looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Let's hope that McRiot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McRiot sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Peterson's guard. McRiot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. McRiot works his foot free and advances to mount. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McRiot controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson working to try and regain half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max McRiot. McRiot scores with a hook to the body. Peterson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. This has been an exciting period of action! McRiot rushes Peterson and presses him up against the ropes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Peterson tries to stall but McRiot uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
McRiot tightens his grip and picks Peterson up, before dumping him to the ground. Peterson manages to land in guard. Peterson looking for a sweep. Not yet Peterson, not yet. Peterson is breathing heavily. Peterson working for submissions but it's allowed McRiot to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max McRiot dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McRiot closes the distance and clinches. McRiot jumps into guard, dragging Peterson to the mat.

Peterson pushes down on McRiot's leg and manages to get into half guard. Peterson is trying to work for a kimura but McRiot is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McRiot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. McRiot keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Peterson actively working from the bottom here. Still in half guard, McRiot seems content to control. McRiot passes to full mount! McRiot content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Max McRiot was stalling too much, according to the referee. McRiot swings for the body but Peterson moves out of range.
McRiot scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. McRiot is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Peterson rather than just go for the knockout. Peterson throws a sloppy head kick and McRiot moves out of range easily. Max McRiot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McRiot pushes Peterson up against the ropes in a clinch. Peterson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McRiot just stands there and leans against the ropes. Peterson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Both fighters working to control the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McRiot has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Peterson is trying to keep an underhook but McRiot manages to get the takedown into half guard. McRiot looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max McRiot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Max McRiot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McRiot pushes Peterson up against the ropes in a clinch. McRiot lands a takedown into guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McRiot drives through and clinches with Peterson against the ropes.

McRiot uses his free foot to push down on Peterson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peterson. McRiot looking to control and managing it successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max McRiot. McRiot thows a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from McRiot. Peterson does a little dance to reset his feet. Peterson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McRiot.
McRiot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peterson was well out of range. Poor timing from McRiot. McRiot misses with a shot to the body and Peterson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McRiot is lucky that one didn't land flush. Nice body punch from McRiot. McRiot digs a good hook to Peterson's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McRiot fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Carlos Peterson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McRiot clinches up with Peterson and pushes him back against the ropes. McRiot successfully pulls guard.
McRiot is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Peterson frees his head nicely. Oh but McRiot has switched to an armbar! Peterson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
