Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masakatsu Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pedro Lucas struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba has his takedown stuffed
enabling Lucas to counter with a crisp jab.
Lucas throws a good cross that connects.
Sakuraba shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lucas counters with a series of strikes. Sakuraba will be more careful next time no doubt.
Sakuraba misses with a takedown
and Lucas counters with a nice body shot.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masakatsu Sakuraba. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakuraba tries for a takedown but Lucas circles away easily
and Lucas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sakuraba is rocked!
Lucas steps in with a hook that catches Sakuraba right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Lucas follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Sakuraba looks absolutely devastated.
