Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Kiss!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kiss shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kiss doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Kiss fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiss looks gassed!
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Kiss blocks nicely.
Jackson stays in close to Kiss's body and controls the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson pushes down on Kiss's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jackson not doing much here.
Jackson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jackson wants to stand but Kiss has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Christopher Jackson just wasn't active enough.

Jackson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kiss's guard.
Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kiss is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jackson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Kiss blocks nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kiss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jackson seems to be working for a kimura but Kiss defends the submission attempt.
Jackson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jackson is trying for a kimura here. Kiss looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jackson wins by kimura!
