Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trace Eckies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Severi Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Suhonen's choice of entrance music: Lentävä Kalakukko. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eckies swats away the attempt to clinch by Suhonen.
Eckies throws out a loose jab but Suhonen uses good head movement to avoid it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Eckies. Suhonen does a little dance to reset his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suhonen.
Suhonen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Suhonen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Eckies darts in and clinches Suhonen up against the ropes.
Eckies looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Eckies has had enough of the clinch but Suhonen keeps him there for the moment.
Suhonen jumps guard but Eckies turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Eckies lands a shoulder strike.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Eckies breaks the clinch.

Eckies throws a right and a left that both miss.

Suhonen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Eckies tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Suhonen has gone for a leg lock! Eckies slips out almost immediately though and dives into Suhonen's guard.

Suhonen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Eckies stacks Suhonen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Eckies!
Suhonen is trying to control Eckies's posture but Eckies avoids it.
Suhonen is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Eckies tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Suhonen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Eckies off and has taken his back!
Suhonen misses with punches from the back.

Suhonen working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Suhonen thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Eckies is really stuck here.

Eckies is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Suhonen gets his way!
Suhonen keeps control of the position as Eckies tries to break free.

Suhonen has got one arm under Eckies's chin. This could be trouble... Eckies trying to control the other hand but Suhonen gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Eckies has tapped out! The fight is over!

After the fight, Severi Suhonen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
