Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John De Vito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John De Vito was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John De Vito! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Garcia misses. Garcia rushes De Vito and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. De Vito is trying to break the clinch but Garcia has him pressed against the cage. Garcia tries to throw a body punch but De Vito avoids it by throwing Garcia back against the cage. Garcia struggles to land a body shot inside as De Vito controls his hands.
De Vito has Garcia pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Garcia manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. De Vito missing with knees to the body.
Garcia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. De Vito blocks a low kick nicely. Garcia with a jab. De Vito has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Garcia. De Vito tries to clinch there but Garcia circles away.
Garcia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! De Vito prevents Garcia from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Vito in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Garcia is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. De Vito is looking to work some ground and pound but Garcia has wrist control. De Vito is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. De Vito landing some decent shots from guard. Garcia wants to stand and escape but De Vito is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Vito looking to pass the guard. De Vito trying to control but Garcia is working from the bottom. Garcia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. De Vito takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Garcia thuds his shin into the meat of De Vito's side. Garcia bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. This has been an exciting period of action! De Vito tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garcia swivels and escapes. De Vito looks gassed! De Vito takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like John De Vito has been cut. Garcia moves into the clinch successfully.
Garcia lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt De Vito or not. Garcia lands with a right to the head. Garcia crunches a lovely knee into De Vito's ribcage. Garcia gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Garcia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Garcia throws a head kick that misses. Garcia throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. De Vito has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Garcia. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Garcia throws a quick head kick that skims the top of De Vito's head. De Vito gets tackled into the cage by Garcia. Garcia maintains the clinch. Garcia works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Garcia tries to work over De Vito's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Garcia gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from De Vito.
Robert Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John De Vito. De Vito takes a knee to the side of the body. Garcia landing knees to the head.

Garcia lands a good knee to the midsection. De Vito won't want to take too many of those. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! De Vito takes an elbow to the forehead. Garcia lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Garcia digs a right hand underneath De Vito's ribcage. De Vito let out a lung full of air as it connected. Knees to the body from Garcia.

Garcia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Robert Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John De Vito. Garcia content to slow the pace in the clinch.

De Vito is trying to stall.

Robert Garcia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. De Vito takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Garcia lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Garcia throws a head kick that half lands.
The cut above John De Vito's eye is starting to cause him problems now. De Vito avoids the head kick by Garcia.
Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Garcia fails in his attempt to clinch. Garcia thumps De Vito with a low kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Garcia, right into the meat.

Garcia scores with an uppercut up the middle. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Garcia. Garcia presses De Vito against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Garcia landing some nice looking knees to the body.

De Vito takes a kick to the side of the head. Garcia throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Vito takes a head kick and keeps coming.
John De Vito's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. De Vito moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
De Vito is rocked! Robert Garcia is winning the standup battle so far. Garcia lunges in with a left hook that violently twists De Vito head around and knocks him out cold! Garcia hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
