Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Carter closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Diaz working hard to break the clinch. Carter blocking some punches.
Carter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Diaz backwards. Carter lands with a right to the head. Carter dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Diaz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short left from Carter. Diaz fails to pull guard.
Diaz is trying to break free. Carter lands a nice uppercut. Diaz tries to stall but Carter uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Diaz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Carter lands with a short shot to the head.
It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut. Carter lands with a short head shot on the inside. Carter scores with a shoulder strike. Diaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carter walks away with a smile on his face. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Diaz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diaz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Carter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter blocks a head kick by Diaz.
Carter forces Diaz back against the cage and clinches. Carter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Diaz tries to work over Carter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Carter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Diazs head. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Good body shot from Carter.
Diaz wants to break free but Carter has control.
Diaz tries to break free but Carter pushes him back against the cage. Diaz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Carter lands on the inside with an uppercut. Come on Carter - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Greg Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz. Carter gets through Diaz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Carter. Diaz fails to pull guard.
Diaz looks gassed! Carter digs a right hand underneath Diaz's ribcage. Diaz let out a lung full of air as it connected.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Still in the clinch, Carter scores with a nice short uppercut. Carter scores with a shot to the side of Diaz's head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Carter. Carter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
Diaz is rocked! Diaz tries to break the clinch but Carter is controlling the position. Carter scores with an uppercut up the middle. Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage. Carter working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Diaz takes a shot to the head. Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him? Carter working some nice short punches in the clinch. Diaz can't find room to land a body shot as Carter controls the action.
Carter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Diazs head. A short left from Carter. Carter throws a big uppercut that drops Diaz! More strikes from Carter and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Diaz lies dazed against the cage as Carter celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Carter!
