Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eki Vieri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Slewton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eki Vieri has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eki Vieri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carlos Slewton! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieri lands a two punch combo.
Slewton tries a head kick but it misses.
Slewton fails with a takedown attempt. Vieri lands a jab-cross combination. Vieri throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Slewton closes the distance and pushes Vieri back into the cage. Slewton is working Vieri over against the cage. Vieri is trying to push Slewton away but Slewton has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Slewton lands a good knee to the midsection. Vieri won't want to take too many of those. Slewton manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Slewton is looking for a triangle but Vieri pushes his legs off easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Vieri wants to stand but Slewton is controlling his posture from full guard. Slewton throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slewton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Slewton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vieri's guard. Vieri keeping moving, preventing Slewton from controlling successfully. Vieri wants to stand up but Slewton is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vieri being controlled here, momentarily. Slewton pushes down on Vieri's leg and manages to get into half guard. Slewton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vieri has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slewton is working for a submission of some sort.
Slewton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vieri defends it well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slewton looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Slewton is looking to take a break and control but Vieri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vieri might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slewton is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vieri has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vieri wants to get back to his feet.
Vieri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slewton on the ground. Vieri is refusing to be controlled, as Slewton sits in half guard. Slewton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Slewton sitting and controlling from the half guard. Vieri is trying to stand back up but Slewton is controlling him
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slewton working over Vieri with some ground and pound. Vieri looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Slewton is trying to control. Vieri wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Slewton performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Slewton has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Slewton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slewton looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slewton has control of Vieri's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vieri regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Slewton dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vieri throws an overhand right that lands on Slewton's shoulder, as Slewton tries to avoid the shot. A good leg kick by Slewton. Vieri misses with a double jab.
Slewton explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Vieri fails to land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slewton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Slewton closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vieri did well to prevent Slewton getting side control. Slewton wants to control but Vieri is keeping him busy. Slewton passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Vieri! Carlos Slewton has got the better of the ground game so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Slewton trying to control but Vieri is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slewton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vieri as he jumps to the side. Vieri rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slewton moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vieri misses with a double jab.
A punch combination from Vieri misses. Vieri takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vieri takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Vieri looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slewton is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slewton misses with a head kick.
Vieri slaps away a takedown attempt from Slewton, before circling back to the center of the mat. Slewton connects with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vieri swats away the attempt to clinch by Slewton. Slewton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Slewton tries to free his leg and advance position but Vieri is retaining full guard. Vieri can't keep his opponent in guard - Slewton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Vieri looks like he's trying to stand up.
Slewton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vieri is just riding it out for now. Slewton eventually gives up the hold. Slewton trying to control the action but Vieri is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vieri is trying to stand.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Slewton connects with a nice short shot to Vieri's temple. Slewton in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Vieri tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Slewton!
