Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Backman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Schim Fairbain!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backman throws a series of strikes that have Fairbain backpedaling.
Fairbain feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Backman's calf.
Fairbain lands with a nice body kick.
Backman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Backman throws a looping overhand right but Fairbain ducks down to avoid it.
Fairbain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fairbain throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fairbain throws a hook to the side of Backman's head but Backman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That kick from Fairbain tenderised Backman's leg. Backman is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fairbain lands with a straight right. Backman didn't see that one coming.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Backman throws the left hand but Fairbain avoids the punch easily.
Fairbain tries a head kick but it misses.
Backman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Backman takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fairbain keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Backman throws a head kick that misses.
Schim Fairbain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairbain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fairbain throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fairbain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fairbain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fairbain moves into the clinch.
Fairbain is pressed up against the cage. Backman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fairbain down to the mat. Fairbain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fairbain moves away from the strike by Backman.
Backman swats away the attempt to clinch by Fairbain.
Backman closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fairbain ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fairbain lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fairbain scores with a jab to the jaw.
Backman throws a combination. Fairbain tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fairbain connects with a body shot.
Fairbain ducks under a wild hook from Backman.
Backman throws a nice looking combination but Fairbain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Backman is breathing heavily.
Fairbain throws a leg kick but Backman moved away.

Fairbain drives through and clinches with Backman against the cage.
Fairbain just leaning against Backman, taking a breather.
A short uppercut from Fairbain.
Fairbain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fairbain tries to work over Backman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fairbain is struggling to control the position.
Backman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fairbain pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fairbain creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Backman goes for a takedown attempt but Fairbain pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Backman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fairbain moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A head kick from Fairbain lands but Backman takes it in his stride.
Backman just misses with a punch to the body.
Backman misses with a hook
and Fairbain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fairbain slips a straight right by Backman.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fairbain.
Fairbain lands a really nice looking cross but Backman seems unphased.
Backman swings widly with a right hand
and Fairbain counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Backman takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fairbain, right into the meat.
Backman misses with a series of wild punches.
Backman throws a poor cross that misses

and Fairbain moves into the clinch.
Fairbain softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Fairbain holding his opponent close, against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Fairbain fails to land.
Backman is trying to force a seperation but Fairbain has the dominant position.
Fairbain misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fairbain misses with a punch on the inside.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Backman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fairbain throws a head punch that misses.
Fairbain lands a right hand.
Fairbain lands a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schim Fairbain dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Backman is rocked!
Fairbain throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Oh Backman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fairbain dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fairbain drops Backman with a big left hand! Backman is injured, injured bad! Fairbain jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Schim Fairbain!
