Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Matter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincent Morrison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dark Matter! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matter blocks a head kick by Morrison.
Matter looks for a takedown but Morrison sprawls well. Morrison connects with a right hand. Matter shakes it off. Morrison misses with a head kick.
Matter tries to bum rush Morrison with a series of wild strikes but Morrison uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A head kick from Morrison lands but Matter takes it in his stride.
It looks like Dark Matter has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Matter fails with a takedown attempt. Morrison gets caught flat footed, as Matter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Matter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Matter showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Matter wants to pass the guard but Morrison is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison keeping moving, preventing Matter from controlling successfully. Matter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Morrison works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Matter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Matter stops Morrison from standing up. Matter wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morrison wants to stand and escape but Matter is having none of it. Matter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Matter distracts Morrison with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morrison wants to stand but Matter is controlling the position. Matter wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving. Morrison has Matter pulled in close to control his posture. Morrison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Matter is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matter trying to control but Morrison is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Matter takes a kick to the side of the head. Danga de danga de dang - Matter scores with a four punch combination! Morrison throws a series of punches but Matter moves out of range. Morrison slaps away a takedown attempt from Matter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vincent Morrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Matter. Morrison lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Morrison swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matter. Matter shoots in looking for a takedown. Morrison tries to sprawl out of it but Matter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morrison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Morrison throws a head kick but Matter moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morrison slaps away a takedown attempt from Matter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Matter takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Matter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Matter looks gassed! Morrison misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Morrison throws a head kick that misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Matter misses with a takedown and Morrison counters with a left to the body. Morrison scores with a head kick.
