Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kuririn Kame!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christian Ventura!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura throws a big shot that misses.
Kame slips under a jab from Ventura.
Kame stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kame wants it to stay on the feet.
A jab from Ventura does it's job there.
Ventura scores with a jab.
Kame walks into a stiff left hand from Ventura.
Ventura cracks Kame with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ventura throws a hook to the side of Kame's head but Kame sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kame takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ventura looks to throw the jab but Kame is out of range.
Ventura throws a shot from downtown. Kame moves away and avoids it.
Kame slips a straight right by Ventura.
Kame fails to land the takedown.
Ventura is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Kame slips under a jab.
A swing and a miss from Ventura.
Ventura has his takedown stuffed
and Kame counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura prevents Kame from improving position.
Ventura gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Kame is working for a guillotine from mount but Ventura frees his head quite easily.
Kame mounts Ventura! Really nice guard pass there!
Ventura really wants to buck Kame off and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kame forces the positional change into back control.
Kame is persistently looking for the submission but Ventura is defending it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ventura is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kame gets his way!
Ventura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kame. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ventura is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ventura is trying to get back to his feet but Kame has full control of the position and if anything, Ventura has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Kame has got one arm under Ventura's chin. This could be trouble... Ventura trying to control the other hand but Kame gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Ventura has tapped out! The fight is over!
